[It’s a relief to read that Sam hasn’t encountered the program yet, though it’s more than tempered by the fact that this is his first hearing about it.]
If he came in with the others, he must have arrived here a few days ago… [But he hadn’t made his presence known to Sam, nor to Tron or Rinzler -- at least Alan assumes so given he hasn’t heard anything from either program. Unless Clu had found them instead of the other way around. Alan feels a deep dread coiling in his chest at the thought.]
You told me once that Clu wanted to break into the User world -- do you know what his plans were afterwards? Why did he want to come here?
[Understanding that may help them predict his actions now that he’s found himself on the other side of the screen.]
[ Thing was..Sam knew exactly what Clu's plan had been. He'd seen what looked like train cars full of Programs being taken to that massive ship. He'd seen that holographic globe. Heard the speech. Some of it may have even been genuine enough to be genuinely alarming.
So what did Clu intend to do in the User world? ]
Spread. Think about it. Every digital device in the world becoming a tool for him. Or, worst case scenario, he trips more automated responses than he can handle, since we've sort of taken a quantum leap forward since the 880's.
Look I can't talk about all this stuff on here.
[ You've had months Sam, it's not like this is new.]
It's quieter in the aft. Fewer people. That will work if you want.
[Alan listens intently, brow furrowed with worry. If Clu’s goal is to spread, there’s plenty of technology on the Moira he could potentially exploit, sentient and otherwise.
Sam's request gets no protest from Alan. Sam’s the one who’s more knowledgeable of Clu’s capabilities after all and if he thinks meeting in person will be more secure, Alan’s not going to question it..]
I’ll meet you there. [And then:] Keep an eye out, alright? [He doesn’t have to say for who. Already the ship’s halls feel a lot less safer than they did before Sam’s message.]

[ Which is to say Sam panicked and did the first thing he could think of. ]
He hasn't tried to contact me
